About Us

My photo
We met over 8 years ago at church as Shaun was walking in and I was walking out. The few words exchanged sparked an interst that kept Shaun coming back. When we FINALLY began dating 4 years later we soon knew there was something special here. Our first year quickly flew by and we both decided we never wanted to spend another year with anyone else or without each other. We married in the place where it all began on January 1, 2011 (1/1/11) and gave birth to our beautiful daughter Ava Marie on September 22, 2011 our next little one, Clara Rose came 16 months later on February 11, 2013. This blog began with our preparation with our wedding and has entered into recording the days and events of our newlywed life and new motherhood.

"New" Baby Fullen

I'm just about 8 weeks along and wanted to share these with you all.  Amazing to think this little baby is making all this progress under God's watchful gaze.  Please continue to pray for a safe and healthy pregnancy.

Can't wait to kiss those little fingers and toes!

She's 9mo old already!!!???

Today little Miss Ava Marie turns 9mo old!  Can't believe that much time has flown by already.  She's a total hoot and a blast to spend my days with.  What a great baby!  She's funny and loves to make us laugh.  She has a great belly laugh (that she doesn't always share publicly) and a great poker face.  She loves to be home and even though she's strong and active, could cuddle for hours.  I love that about her.  Lately she's been a lot little clingy, but I just try to think of how soon I won't be able to wrap my arms around her whenever I want.  She's just about to start standing without support and is a tough cookie when she tumbles.  Usually it's followed by a laugh and she quickly tries again.  I love her perserverance.  She's patient, but definitely knows how to make herself "heard".  She loves other children and babies and would chase them around if she could.  Usually she just yells at them wherever she sees them to get thier attention and lunges in thier direction.  I think she'll be a great big sister.  Here are a few pics from the past month.

A happy girl when Daddy gets home from work!

 Hugging a tired Mommy.

We are Catholic

I came home today feeling hurt by a family member who used words of Christ to throw at me like an insult.  I cannot get into the details, but because some time ago I chose to stand with Christ when he was rejected... I in turn became rejected.  If I had to choose Him or those who did not love him again... I would always choose Him.  Even if it meant being shunned by family or friends.  I do hope someday they will choose Him as well.

When I returned home, my husband asked me to look up a video.  I don't think this is what he was looking for, but it is what I was supposed to find.  For all those who are proud of being Catholic... this is for you.

7 Quick Takes Friday

1.  You all know it's been a long time since I've "avidly" blogged... trying to get back into it.  There's so much I don't want to forget.  Let it be said that I did TRY (like... 10-15 times!) to post recently a few videos from my favorite "Mother's Day gift"

but for some reason blogger wouldn't let me :( ...anyone else have this problem?

2. Ava is now 8 1/2 months old and ON THE MOVE!  She's been crawling since she right around the 6mo mark then pulling up soon after on everything now she's all over the place!

I love that even though she's so active, she's still super cuddly and content to sit/lay with me for hours even!

3.  We're selling our house!  I feel "bittersweet" about this.  There's a long story to the beautiful house we live in and I already feel like there is so much of "us" here, but we seem to have come to the realization that we're quickly going to out grow it.  Please pray that the "Right" person buys it (soon) and appreciates all the work that has gone into it.

4.  We bought a house!  At an auction!  There's a very funny story to this, but the long and the short of it is that we're moving from the above... to this:

5.  No... we're not crazy (at least I hope we're not)  When it's finished, we hope it will look a bit more like this:

...with flowers ;)  LOTS of flowers!

6.  This means that in order for it to get that way we have a total gut job on our hands (again).  I watch a LOT of "Holmes on Homes"

and get very worried about not only "what's behind the walls"  but "Who's doing the work".  Right now we're doing our research and taking lots of bids, but soon the hammers will be a swingin'

7.  Shortly after we bought this house I found out that #2 is ON THE WAY!

Yup, Ava's going to be a BIG sister!  This is great because she's crazy about other kids.  Yells and crawls after them whenever she sees them.  She's going to be a great big sister.  Please pray for a safe pregnancy and for everything to be alright.  We're very happy.... Well... I think that pretty much catches everyone up!
