About Us

My photo
We met over 8 years ago at church as Shaun was walking in and I was walking out. The few words exchanged sparked an interst that kept Shaun coming back. When we FINALLY began dating 4 years later we soon knew there was something special here. Our first year quickly flew by and we both decided we never wanted to spend another year with anyone else or without each other. We married in the place where it all began on January 1, 2011 (1/1/11) and gave birth to our beautiful daughter Ava Marie on September 22, 2011 our next little one, Clara Rose came 16 months later on February 11, 2013. This blog began with our preparation with our wedding and has entered into recording the days and events of our newlywed life and new motherhood.

Thankful Thursday-Why I love where I live...

I took a nice walk the other night with Shaun & the girls to cool off from the blustery heat wave before bedtime.  A quick drive (about 10min) to the other end of the city planted us right along the walking path and local beaches.  I don't have time to "edit" anymore, so these are "untouched".  An "ordinary" night around there looks a little like this:

I had to park my car a little further down and meet back up with Shaun & the sleepy girls.

Spied some locals fishing for their dinner.

Caught three as we were looking on!

Some more views of future "picnic" spots.

We talked about just packing up dinner and fishing poles and preparing to "head out" as soon as Shaun arrives home from work around 6:30p (he leaves work a little after 3pm and is stuck in traffic that whole time.  Thought that might be a nice little thing to come home to.

Then, I had Ava.
Watch this progression...

watch the face.

right when she said, "Mommy.  Poopy."
Great.  Just keep smiling!

A beautiful end to a beautiful evening.

  1. Ha...I love the "mommy poopy" right when she on your shoulders. Classic!

  2. Soooo beautiful...all of it! And I love the new look around here, friend! : )

    1. Thanks Billie Jo! YOu inspired me to be "seasonal" ;)

  3. Looks like you live in a beautiful area. Precious girls and I love the new blog look!

  4. Thanks for sharing your evening walk with us. You know how I like to be a "creeper" :-) What beautiful photos and view. Please, please tell me that like 80 people stopped you while you were out and commented on the preciousness if your girls. If not, they should have! Love 'em.

    Ps...great new header!!

    1. I figured I'd save you the trouble and make the "creeping" easy ;) Maybe not 80, but I don't think we passed 80. Almost everyone else. We get that a lot. YOU must get the same comments!

Go ahead and say hello! I love comments!
