About Us

My photo
We met over 8 years ago at church as Shaun was walking in and I was walking out. The few words exchanged sparked an interst that kept Shaun coming back. When we FINALLY began dating 4 years later we soon knew there was something special here. Our first year quickly flew by and we both decided we never wanted to spend another year with anyone else or without each other. We married in the place where it all began on January 1, 2011 (1/1/11) and gave birth to our beautiful daughter Ava Marie on September 22, 2011 our next little one, Clara Rose came 16 months later on February 11, 2013. This blog began with our preparation with our wedding and has entered into recording the days and events of our newlywed life and new motherhood.

Open House tomorrow!

Well friends, I'm taking a super fast break from the buzz around here to quickly ask you to pray for our impromptu "Open House" on our home tomorrow from 1-3pm.  We received a phone call a few days ago after silence on our home for a while now, that someone would like to view it on Sunday and would we be willing to have an open house as well.  I looked around at what is definitely a house with babies (one who never seems to sleep) and a pregnant mommy, surveyed the damage and said, "Well... it's on the market, so sure!"  We're readying ourselves the best we can, but could use plenty of prayers for the "right" people to be sent to our home and able to give a good offer.  Thank you everyone!  Here's our lovely abode:

  1. OH my! Your house is too beautiful for words! I wish I could buy it! It's so clean and tidy, you wouldn't know children live there.

    1. Kari (dead pan face) do you REALLY think my house looks like THAT all the time??? Silly girl. I'm trying to get it to look 1/2 way like that by tomorrow. Sadly... it's a terrific task ahead of me. BUT it USED to look like that all the time before I moved here... and put children in it.

  2. But even when messy, it's a beautiful home! You decorated it so nicely. I love all the different religious reminders throughout the house and the colors and the beautiful plants outside. I'm wondering how you can have candles on an end table even for a few minutes. My kids would have run off with those in seconds!

    1. Thank you so much Kari... and you silly girl, those candles are all about the "staging". We didn't leave them out when the kids were around. They wouldn't last 5 sec! These pics were taken when Ava was littler anyhow.

    1. I planted most of them the Summer we got engaged and I was living around the corner. I remember thinking that when they bloomed again, we'd be married and this would be MY house.

    1. Right? We have the other home we bought that's bigger and in a better area with more land... but it's just sitting there gutted because we can't afford to do anymore work until this one sells.
