About Us

My photo
We met over 8 years ago at church as Shaun was walking in and I was walking out. The few words exchanged sparked an interst that kept Shaun coming back. When we FINALLY began dating 4 years later we soon knew there was something special here. Our first year quickly flew by and we both decided we never wanted to spend another year with anyone else or without each other. We married in the place where it all began on January 1, 2011 (1/1/11) and gave birth to our beautiful daughter Ava Marie on September 22, 2011 our next little one, Clara Rose came 16 months later on February 11, 2013. This blog began with our preparation with our wedding and has entered into recording the days and events of our newlywed life and new motherhood.

Birthday Blessings

HA HA HA... I love that picture!

So this weekend was my birthday!!!  It was a wonderful time to thank God for my MANY blessings.  Shaun had to work in the morning, but came back to me later to spend the day together.  We were able to just spend some time "relaxing" and hanging out with each other (what a gift for both of us)

We also took some time to visit LaSalette Shrine while we were in Attleboro as Shaun & I went to pray later in the day at the Attleboro abortion clinic (the last one in our diocese) to thank God for the GIFT of my life & to ask for blessings on all those who feel they have no hope... and also all those who feel the need to wave at us with just one finger.

I looked over at him and was thinking how blessed I was to have someone to share my faith with & who will help me to grow in holiness as we walk hand in hand together through all our stumbles and falls.  I thought back upon all the times we'd seen each other praying over the last few years before we were "together".  Even then at least we were "together" in prayer.

Over dinner we talked about how we would spend every birthday together from now on and I thought about how God had made us and known even at the moment of our conception that we would find each other over 30 years later.  I am so thankful for all my blessings and just thought I'd put them here.

...oh!  AaaaaND he bought me two beautiful new Pandora charms in my FAVORITE color (green).

They look like this:

What a NIGHTMARE!!!

So I had this nightmare the other day that I woke up crying from.  On the outside I've felt SO CALM... considering all that Shaun and I both have on our plate at this time.  I really am so happy to get married and cannot wait, but I'm afraid I'm going to forget something (or a LOT of somethings) and I guess it all plays itself out while I'm sleeping.

I was dreaming that it was the day of my wedding and I was getting married in the most beautiful place you've ever seen.  Yet, I suddenly realized that the invitations had just come in the mail the day before and had never been sent OUT!  So ...even though it was all beautifully planned, no one was coming to my wedding because no one KNEW about it!  I realized that Shaun was waiting for me and I couldn't wait to get married, but was so upset that no one was going to be there that as I was walking in I tripped and my beautiful dress was covered in mud up to my KNEES!  Everyone saw me and started laughing and pointing (like one of those highschool nightmares when you come to school and forget to put your clothes on... ok, maybe that was just me).  I started to cry and cry ...SO HARD that I woke myself up from my dream.  Afterwards I laughed at how silly it all was, but in my dream... geesh!  What a nightmare!  Please R.S.V.P to let me know if you're coming ...and say a prayer for us while you're at it.

Shopping with my maids

So... tonight I went shopping with some of my bridesmaids for their dresses.  I never realized, that this is QUITE an experience.  Thank goodness I have the best ladies EVER... really, I'm super lucky... and we finally found what we were looking for.  NOW... let's just hope they're here in time for the wedding or we'll have to do some last minute scrambling and have a "rainbow brite" wedding!  They are going to look GREAT and all you have to know is that they don't look a BIT like this...

...thank GOD!!!

After we chose all their dresses, we came to the part that we'd all been waiting for and I tried on MY dress.  They hadn't seen it yet.  My mom saw it and after seeing me try on like... 35... started crying.  I love the "gasp" that happens when I wear it.  I can't help it... I just LOVE it.  Didn't want to take it off.  (sigh)  Finally had to put it to bed on it's little hanger there and head out for the eve.  (see you soon!)

We didn't get far.  Afterwards we were chatting in the parking lot until we were all so chilly that we HAD to bid farewell.  The owner of the shop came out.. and the seamstress too... we were still there chatting as they all drove away.  Sheesh, sometimes I feel like I need to join the "on and on and on" society!  I actually realized again while we were chatting how in love with Shaun I am.  I am just CRAZY about him.  He doesn't ever go on the computer, so he won't see this and get all embarrassed, but I really feel so utterly blessed.  He is simply perfect for me.  I was talking about certain things with my ladies and (I know, I'm such a sap) but I couldn't help but start crying.  SUCH a sap.  I just want to put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and run down the aisle tomorrow!  If the next 3 months seem too far away sometimes, what I want to know is, ...how the heck have I lived so long without him?  January, PLEASE come soon!

Deleted RSVP Links...

Ok, so I've heard there was some problem with the R.S.V.P. links at the bottom of the blog pages.  I'm not sure why, but most people could not access them for some reason or another (including me most of the time), So... I just removed them.  If you replied/R.S.V.P'd through them... would it be too much to ask, to have you do it again on the R.S.V.P page (or through an email)?  Sorry about that, but I'd appreciate it if when you know you're coming you can shoot me a reply, so I can start to get a general idea of numbers.  Thanks a TON!

REGISTRY PAGE

So... I was convinced by two good collegues of mine that since I was engaged I "HAD to REGISTER!"  I was asked everyday as I came into work if I had done so until they felt the need to take matters into thier own hands and I finally was dragged to Bed Bath & Beyond yesterday afternoon to get the job done.  I'm the LAST person to ask anyone for gifts and Shaun & I would be delighted if everyone just came to the Mass & brought a dish to the reception... yet, I found myself actually noticing things we actually could really use!  I've included the registry link  on the NEW REGISTRY PAGE and will add on as I register in different places.  I'm told "this will make things easier for everyone", but still find it uncomfortable to ask for anything, because I feel I have everything I really NEED!  Thank you, though if you DO choose to support us! ...oh, and if you find similar items at nice places like Marshalls or TJ Maxx, etc... feel free to deviate from the list.  I LOVE Marshalls & TJ Maxx!!!  ....Shaun on the other hand loves Home Depot & Lowes!

With Gratitude,
Marijanna & Shaun

New "RSVP" page

I've created an RSVP page for those of you who are having trouble doing this through the links on the bottom of the blog.  You can just reply in the comment area OR send me an email at marijanna1111@gmail.com to let me know if you're coming and would like to bring something to share at our Potluck reception.  Hope to be absolutely SURROUNDED by our loved ones!

Check it out!

So I set up this blog to help those to keep "everything in one place".   At the bottom of each page is a place to R.S.V.P. for both the wedding ceremony and the reception.  If it doesn't show up for you, just send me an email at marijanna1111@gmail.com or give me a call at 508-415-5394.

There is also a page (on the right hand side) of some of the items on our Pot Luck Reception "Recipe List".  You can click on the links below each picture and follow the recipe.  If you'd like to bring something, just let me know in the comment area (or again, just send me and email at the above address) and that way I'll know who and what is coming.  We'll  be having the reception in the large parish hall, so that you will not have to travel to a different location.

Our "Story" is on a separate page called "So this is how it happened".

I plan on putting up "pages" for those of you who are traveling as well as our "registry links" if you're feeling generous, but we really have so much of what we need, there is no obligation.  (We'd rather you just come and share our joy!)

I'll also be adding photos and other "fun stuff", so... check frequently as I'll be adding more as time goes by ...quickly!
