We met over 8 years ago at church as Shaun was walking in and I was walking out. The few words exchanged sparked an interst that kept Shaun coming back. When we FINALLY began dating 4 years later we soon knew there was something special here. Our first year quickly flew by and we both decided we never wanted to spend another year with anyone else or without each other. We married in the place where it all began on January 1, 2011 (1/1/11) and gave birth to our beautiful daughter Ava Marie on September 22, 2011 our next little one, Clara Rose came 16 months later on February 11, 2013.
This blog began with our preparation with our wedding and has entered into recording the days and events of our newlywed life and new motherhood.
I simply don't have enough free hands to "post" and want so badly to write about so many things, but can't seem to get around to it with wonderfully full hands. Instead... here are some family videos to see what's happening in our happy home. This is why Shaun works so hard... so we can spend time like this together. Simple happy family time.
Clara talking to Nana (she was not quite one month)
Ava and the boots
Dancing Girls (I love the way Ava sings in this one!)
(not the most flattering video of me, but I'm looking forward to getting into shape soon enough... Colleen???)
Wish I could write more, but I need a shower... and some breakfast.
Oh, my gosh, those videos were so fun! Makes me feel almost like I"m there! You and your mama have that Boston accent down--that's for sure! it's fun to hear your voices! Baby Clara looks like daddy I think! So beautiful!
That's so funny, Jamie Jo! Compared to true Bostonians we totally pronounce all our syllables! Whenever someone says I have an accent I usually think, "Really? No I don't! YOU have an accent!" ;) Clara does look like Daddy... as did Ava, but they dont' look like Daddy did as a baby. They actually look very much like I did as a baby. Why is that weird?
Those first few weeks after bringing baby home are Heaven...Grandma comes to help and play...the world goes on outside while you bask in the special happiness and joy that the sweet new soul brings...nothing else really matters much...and things that once seemed so important will eventually resume. Enjoy this most special time!

ReplyDeleteThat explains it perfectly, Billie Jo. Trying to enjoy it... but behind on blogging because of it.
