About Us

My photo
We met over 8 years ago at church as Shaun was walking in and I was walking out. The few words exchanged sparked an interst that kept Shaun coming back. When we FINALLY began dating 4 years later we soon knew there was something special here. Our first year quickly flew by and we both decided we never wanted to spend another year with anyone else or without each other. We married in the place where it all began on January 1, 2011 (1/1/11) and gave birth to our beautiful daughter Ava Marie on September 22, 2011 our next little one, Clara Rose came 16 months later on February 11, 2013. This blog began with our preparation with our wedding and has entered into recording the days and events of our newlywed life and new motherhood.

OK, A "Quick" little "Announcement"!

So... Just a little request for some prayers because...

We're expecting #3!

We double checked, don't worry ;)

Found out last week and it's so awesome to think that this little baby's heart already began beating.

I go to my midwife on Oct 2nd (Feast of the Guardian Angels-her pic) and what an awesome day to check on this little one!  I've been thinking often about how I have at least FOUR guardian angels around me all day long!  One for each of my girls (or boy?) ...and my own.  How lucky!  It's a good thing too.  I can't tell you how many times I've sworn they've kept us all out of scrapes.

I mean seriously, though... if you got to spend your days with these cuties...

...wouldn't you think another was a great idea!?

We're very happy and though I haven't exactly received the same excited response from as many people as I got when we announced the birth of Ava, we're delighted and feel richly blessed!

Can't wait for the update/due date after your Dr. appt.

Btw, I say this ALL the time, but the hair and the cuteness in those two faces always gives me a smile. And I wish I could kiss those little cheeks. Give 'em some lovin' from me, ok?

    1. Thank you Jamie Jo. I guess it's just sad sometimes when you realize how children are NOT always considered the blessing they are! Is this child not just as worth getting excited over? ARe they somehow worth less than my first? I'm so happy that I receive support from here, though and have my kindred spirits to keep me encouraged. Hugs right back at you!

  10. Marijanna and Shaun, congratulations! I am so excited for you! You guys make such beautiful babies! This is so awesome - another precious Fullen baby to pray for, to visit when I see you guys at church, and to love Jesus and Our Lady! PS. I know you are so busy and probably tired at times, but I really miss seeing you guys! I definitely need an Ava and Clara visit one of these days! Maybe I will see you guys at the retreat in October?! Praying for all five of you! Much love and hugs to you all!

    Love,
    Maria and Ed :)

    1. Awww... Maria, we miss you too. You SHOULD come visit! We aren't always fully functioning until like 2pm most days (after breakfast, getting dressed, changes, breastfeeding, naps, showers etc...) but we'd love to visit. I'm not sure if we can do the retreat. Each year it just gets more challenging with the little ones and I don't get much out of it when I can't hear anything and am worried we're disturbing everyone. And it's hard on the girls who still really need naps. We'll try for a bit if we can. Thank you again for all the prayers. It means the world to us!

  11. PS. Every child, whether it's your first, seventh, or twentieth is a precious, unique soul and a blessing from God! So many people do not regard the gift of fertility as a blessing! It is an honor and a privilege to pray for you dear Marijuanna, your precious unborn baby, and your whole family. I am not sure this is going to make any sense, but as someone who always wanted to be a Mama, but cannot, it gives me such joy, peace, and comfort to be able to pray for others especially sweet Catholic Mamas like you, your unborn Baby, and your whole family. Thank you for that honor and privilege. You and your family are very special to me. You can always count on my prayers (and if anybody else reads this and needs prayers, please let me know! You may contact me either through my blog, email (prayrosary4life@gmail.com), or facebook.

May God Bless the Fullen Family and all Mothers, Daddy's, and Families!

    Love,
    Maria

    1. I agree that this one is JUST as precious and we're so excited... again. It IS an honor, right? I know we're so blessed and I know how much you've desired this and what an offering to offer your longing and suffering up in prayer for others and still find joy at other's blessings. You are such a gift. xo

  12. A hearty congratulations!! Hold your head high, you are the one who is blessed here and eventually they will see it and even if they don't, you know the truth and will benefit from living by it! Your family is a blessing to all of us, thank you for sharing your happy news!

    1. Thank you so much, Mary! I tried to call you, but couldnt' get through :( I am holding my head very high, but it definitely makes me ponder the way so many in the world think nowadays. It really saddens me. We will try to shine our light before the world as you also do with your own beautiful and blessed family. Much love to them all especially little Dominic. Kisses to him and many hugs from MA.

  13. Well, let me give you an excited response:

    YAY!!!!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!!WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!
I'm so happy for your good news (it's my favorite kind, you know!) and it's always a shame when every pregnancy is not celebrated that way when announced.

God bless you and I hope you are feeling well!

    1. Awww... Aimee! Thank you! You know, I'm realizing I never got around to writing poor Clara's birth story (seems anti-climactic to do it now) and I punished myself into not allowing myself to read yours till I did. How silly is THAT?

I am feeling well, thank you for asking! Hoping all is well in your world.

    1. I know, Stacy. I really feel blessed. I am lucky to have not felt ...I don't know... like some women do when they get pregnant really easily? I don't feel overwhelmed. I feel overjoyed! It is freeing to offer it all to Our Lord's hands and trust that in everything he will care for us... and our children. Thank you again and Congratulations to YOU too!
