So before I start "Un-decorating" (after all... Epiphany
was on Sunday) soon... I'll share one more "good idea" that worked out well this year. I always try to figure out what to do with all those great Christmas cards. We don't have moldings over our doors and I don't want to poke holes or put tape all over the walls, so... I decided to try something new (and quick).
Take two command hooks... (my favorite thing lately)
Apply to wall just outside two top corners of doorway...
Drape pretty ribbon (at least 1" thick) over doorway...
And clip cards to ribbon! (You can also decorate the corners. I used faux pointsettias on clips)
Voila! Cards out of the way and doorway is beautifully decorated with NO damage to the walls or paint. Easy peasy! (This could also easily work for birthday cards)
