About Us

My photo
We met over 8 years ago at church as Shaun was walking in and I was walking out. The few words exchanged sparked an interst that kept Shaun coming back. When we FINALLY began dating 4 years later we soon knew there was something special here. Our first year quickly flew by and we both decided we never wanted to spend another year with anyone else or without each other. We married in the place where it all began on January 1, 2011 (1/1/11) and gave birth to our beautiful daughter Ava Marie on September 22, 2011 our next little one, Clara Rose came 16 months later on February 11, 2013. This blog began with our preparation with our wedding and has entered into recording the days and events of our newlywed life and new motherhood.

Works for me Wednesday!

Ok, so for some reason I can get the laundry done, but am awful about putting everything that needs to be "hung up" ...BACK on hangers... (please tell me I'm not the only one!)

So... what works for me?  As soon as I (or Ava) wear something that has to come off a hanger, I toss the hanger in the laundry bin, so that when I do the laundry, dry it and fold it, I have the hangers right there and can put everything that needs to go back on a hanger ...back on a hanger... right away.

Since I tend to fold laundry in the living room while Shaun & I are watching CSI Miami or something of the sort, this "works for me" especially with the baby clothes.  Then I head to the closets, hang everything up and voila!  Clothes are back in their places... for now.

  1. Good idea. I'm now battling how to put the clothes away so that when the girls go to pick out clothes they don't annihilate the closet. Most of the time I wonder why I bother folding/hanging, because it ends up being thrown out and shoved back in. We are currently working on picking out clothes the night before, but sometimes getting sleep is more important. I like this idea though!

    1. Try putting up one of those hanging closet organizer/dividers and folding out an outfit for each day. That way the week is set out and if they change and want a different outfit you can just "switch days". That way you only do it once a week instead of "nightly" and you still have closet space to hang clothes as well. Try it! Maybe it'll work. ;)
